HMD Global owns rights to use Nokia brand on its phone for 10 years. This was after Nokia-Microsoft contract lapsed. We have seen Nokia introducing the “Phone” Tab on its websites which made Nokians excited.
This was followed by unveiling of the Nokia 150 which is the low cost phone. This could cost you less than R200,00.
The Nokia 6
What we know about the Nokia 6, it runs Android Nougat 7.0, and comes with 5.5-inch screen wrapped in 2.5D Gorilla Glass, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage and a 16-megapixel rear camera. The specs seem OK for the mid-range smartphone. The Nokia 6 will cost around R3, 300. It will only be available in China.
HMD Global is expected to launch about 6-7 Nokia phones this year.
